Observation of Long-Range Vicinal Effect in Chiral Cu(II)-Cr(VI) or Cu(II)-W(VI) Bimetallic Coordination Polymers

چکیده
We have prepared some diastereomers of [CuL2][M2O7] (L is 1,2-diaminocyclohexane and its derivatives; M = Cr and W) bimetallic coordination polymers and confirmed their structural similarity and inner electronic states by means of XRD and XAS, respectively. For the first time, we have successfully observed distant vicinal effect of which the chiral source is only chiral organic ligands of [CuL2] 2+ moieties (acting as ligand complex), while probe bands for solid state CD spectra are charge transfer (CT) bands of [M2O7] 2− moieties (achiral complex) with the d 0 electronic configuration. The new concept (interpretation) of this observation will be important for supramolecular chirality of coordination polymers built by ligand complexes.

Vanadium (III) gives a greenish- yellow complex with anthranilic acid in presence of pyridine. The complex is extractable with chloroform and is used for photometric determination of vanadium by measuring the absorbance at 390 nm against a reagent blank. Beer's Law holds good in the range of 1-20 pg V/ml. Moderate amounts of Pb (II) , Ca (II) , Sr (II) , Ba (II) , Cd (II) , Mg (II) , Mn (II...

متن کاملAdsorptive Removal of Cr(VI) and Cu(II) Ions from Water Solution using Graphene Oxide-Manganese Ferrite (GMF) Nanomaterials
Chromium (Cr) and copper (Cu) are heavy metals known for their dangerous effect towards human health and could enter into human body mainly through ingestion. Over the years, different treatment methods have been used to eliminate heavy metal from raw water source and these include (co)precipitation, coagulation/flocculation, adsorption and ion- exchange. Nonetheless, adsorption is the most pro...
متن کاملOptimum pHs for Cr(VI) co-removal with nucleated Cu(II) precipitation in continuous-flow fluidised metal strippers
A compact nucleated precipitation technology using two fluidised sand columns in series was developed to pretreat model metal-plating wastewater containing high concentrations of Cu(II) and Cr(VI). Since either Cu(II) precipitation or Cr(VI) co-removal with Cu(II) precipitation was found to be highly pH dependent in batch tests, the continuous-flow studies were conducted under different pHs. Ex...
متن کاملEFFECT OF DIFFERENT CONDITIONS ON Cu(II) AND Cr(VI) BIOSORPTION BY DRIED WASTE TEA FUNGAL BIOMASS
Some industrial wastewaters contain high quantities of non-toxic salts besides heavy metal ions. The presence of salt ions leads to a high ionic strength of water, which may significantly affect the performance of the biosorption process, so that the effect of salts on the biosorption of heavy metal ions should be investigated. In this study the effect of different salts concentrations (0.1; 0....
